Secret Halo Campaign Evolved cutscene announces Halo 2 remake

A secret cutscene in the newly released Halo Campaign Evolved suggests a potential remake of Halo 2 is in development. While not officially confirmed by Microsoft, the inclusion of assets from later games and the company's focus on exclusives support the likelihood of the project.
Why it matters
Halo is a flagship franchise for Xbox, and the potential remake of a classic title significantly impacts the gaming industry's release schedule and platform strategy.
Halo Campaign Evolved is now out for those who pre-ordered the deluxe edition. As you may expect, some hardcore fans have already completed the game on Legendary difficulty, and in keeping with the series' usual tradition, finishing the game on Legendary does unlock a secret cutscene.
The secret cutscene that players are rewarded with this time around is a bit of an odd one. As discovered by Sean Dubs, the legendary cutscene this time around features Seargent Johnson breaking the fourth wall, speaking directly to the player and saying "see you in the sequel", so it would seem that we can expect a Halo 2 remake at some point in the future as well, assuming it doesn't get cancelled.
