Second medal for India, Elavenil wins silver in women’s 10m air rifle at Asiad 2026

NEW DELHI: Elavenil Valarivan narrowly missed out on gold after producing a strong performance in the women’s 10m air rifle individual final at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, settling for silver with a cumulative score of 252.4.Japan’s Taichi Hinata clinched gold with 253.0, while South Korea’s Ban Hyojin took bronze with 230.4.The 27-year-old Indian shooter was in contention for the top spot throughout the final but fell just 0.6 points short of Hinata.
