Second cyclist dies week after fatal Gungahlin Drive crash
A second cyclist has died following a crash in Canberra where a car struck a group of five riders on Gungahlin Drive. The 40-year-old driver is currently assisting police with their ongoing investigation into the incident.

A second cyclist hit in the crash in northern Canberra last week has died in hospital a week after the tragedy.
Five cyclists had been riding on Gungahlin Drive, near the intersection with Kosciuszko Avenue, after 6 am on 27 August when police said a car “ploughed” into them .
Bridie Lee, a 32-year-old originally from Perth , died at the scene from her injuries.
Two men were taken to hospital. One, a 34-year-old, was later released, but a 39-year-old was in a critical and unstable condition.
The 39-year-old remained in a critical condition all week. An ACT Policing spokesperson then confirmed he died in hospital on Thursday night (3 September).
