The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has called for an independent, transparent and credible investigation into the death of Mary Habila, saying justice must not be influenced by political power, propaganda or official connections.
The opposition party made the call in a statement signed by its South-West Zonal Organising Secretary, Comrade Wale Balogun, on Monday, reacting to recent remarks attributed to the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, that President Bola Tinubu rejected calls for his removal following Habila's death and instead urged him to "go and build more roads."
