Renowned multi-faceted sculptor A. Kiran Subbaiah shared his artistic journey and experiences with students and art enthusiasts during an interaction organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture in Mysuru on Saturday.
Speaking as the special guest at the ‘Interaction with achievers’ programme, Mr. Subbaiah spoke about his journey as a sculptor and his passion for traditional art forms.
Originally from Madikeri, Mr. Subbaiah was born, brought up and educated in Mysuru, which he later made his karmabhoomi . During his college days, he was deeply inspired by the exquisite sculptures at the temples of Belur and Halebidu, which inspired him to pursue his dream of becoming a sculptor.
