The Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) has engaged the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) to undertake comprehensive traffic assessment studies in Secunderabad and Lingampalli railway stations.

The initiative aims to improve passenger dispersal, reduce traffic congestion and enhance multimodal connectivity in and around the stations.

The study will assess vehicular and pedestrian movement, traffic circulation and access planning, multimodal transport integration, identification of bottlenecks, parking facilities, and pick-up and drop-off arrangements within the station premises. It will also examine junction improvements, signal optimisation and traffic management measures in the surrounding station areas, according to an official release issued on Friday.
