Officials of the South Coast Railway (SCoR), Vijayawada division, organised an interaction session with the passengers titled “Rail Jan Samvaad” at Gudivada in Krishna district on Tuesday (October 12, 2026).
The session was aimed at strengthening public participation, gathering passenger feedback, and addressing issues related to passenger amenities and hygienic conditions in trains and at the railway stations, said Senior Divisional Operations Manager A. Suresh Reddy.
“It created a platform for the passengers and the members of Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC), frontline staff, and the officers to interact and discuss various problems,” said a passenger G. Kishore Babu.
“The passengers were facing severe problems due to inadequate accommodation in Narsapur trains,” said another passenger Gopi Krishna, who urged the railway officials to increase the number of coaches to facilitate better accommodation.
