The South Coast Railway (SCoR) on Thursday launched a series of intensive cleanliness drives across its network, joining the nationwide push for environmental sanitation.

General Manager Sandeep Mathur administered the Swachhata pledge to a large gathering of officers and staff at the zonal headquarters in the city, marking the simultaneous rollout of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, Swachhata Pakhwada 2026, and Special Campaign 6.0. The initiatives will go on till October 31.

Releasing the official campaign posters, Mr. Mathur said that the fortnight starting Thursday aligns with the core theme, ‘Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’. The zone’s immediate focus is the comprehensive transformation of Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs), including railway stations, residential colonies, yards, goods sheds, loco sheds, and administrative offices.
