South Coast Railway (SCoR) General Manager (GM) Sandeep Mathur reviewed basic amenities and overall safety preparedness at Markapuram Road Railway Station on Friday (July 31, 2026). He directed the officials to maintain the highest standards of infrastructure upkeep and strict compliance with all safety procedures.
The review was a part of the comprehensive inspection of Nandyal–Guntur section, including detailed en-route inspections, to review safety standards, infrastructure development, operational efficiency, and passenger amenities across the section. The GM carried out a detailed review of the ongoing redevelopment works at Nandyal Railway Station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
He inspected various passenger amenities and assessed the progress of infrastructure development and directed officials to maintain the quality and pace of execution while ensuring minimal inconvenience to passengers. He also inspected the Crew Lobby and Running Room, where he reviewed the facilities provided to running staff.
