South Coast Railway Zone General Manager Sandeep Mathur on Saturday inspected railway stations, pilgrim access routes and bathing ghats along the Godavari river to review operational preparedness for Godavari Pushkaram-2027.
Accompanied by Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Mohit Sonakiya and senior officials, including Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) Ankush Gupta, Principal Chief Engineer BSK Rajkumar, Principal Chief Commercial Manager K. Sambasiva Rao and Principal Chief Security Commissioner A.K. Sinha, Mr. Mathur inspected Rajahmundry, Godavari, Kovvur, Samalkot, Tuni and Anakapalle railway stations. The review focused on passenger amenities, safety, cleanliness, crowd management and infrastructure readiness.
Mr. Mathur also conducted a rear-window inspection of the railway tracks between Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry to assess operational safety and the condition of railway assets.
