Scientists reveal how blood cells release key signaling lipid

Researchers from NUS Medicine and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital have identified how the protein MFSD2B transports the signaling lipid S1P out of blood cells. Using cryo-electron microscopy, the team mapped the protein's structure to understand how it facilitates the release of S1P into the bloodstream.
