School uses capitation funds to provide stationery to students

Shangla - Government Primary School Jajal in Lower Kohistan has used its capitation funds to provide notebooks, geometry boxes, pencils and other essential stationery to pupils, with officials saying the initiative demonstrates how school resources can be directed towards students' immediate educational needs.
Deputy District Education Officer Lower Kohistan Aurangzeb Khalil said the provision of basic educational materials could encourage children to take greater interest in their studies and contribute to a better learning environment.

The materials were purchased from the school's capitation funds after approval from its Parent Teacher Council (PTC). The initiative was aimed particularly at helping students from families struggling to meet the cost of basic educational supplies.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Mr Khalil, education department officials, teachers, PTC members, parents and students. Notebooks, geometry boxes, pencils and other stationery were distributed among the children.
