School students make eco-friendly Ganesha idols
Students at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar School are crafting eco-friendly clay Ganesha idols to promote environmental awareness. This decade-long initiative encourages residents to celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi in a sustainable manner.

With Ganesh Chathurthi around the corner, students of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar School on Wednesday took part in making eco-friendly Ganesha idols with clay.
The initiative, which has been followed for more than 10 years, aims to promote environmental awareness and human values among students. Students make around 300 clay idols every year and distribute them among the residents of the surrounding areas of MVP Colony, the school administration said.
The administration said the initiative seeks to encourage people to celebrate the festival in an environmentally responsible manner.
