School hosts Carnatic concert on Bharathiyar Memorial Day
Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School hosted a Carnatic music concert to commemorate Bharathiyar Memorial Day. The event featured vocalist K. Ramesh performing various traditional compositions to honor the Tamil poet Subramania Bharathi.

Carnatic vocalist K. Ramesh presented a concert at Santhanam Vidhyalaya Senior Secondary School (CBSE), Tiruchi, as part of a programme to observe Bharathiyar Memorial Day in honour of Tamil poet Subramania Bharathi on Saturday.
The concert began with the poet’s famous song Seyyum Thozhil Un Thizhilae Kaan . It was followed by other songs such as Karpaga Vinayaka in Hamsadhwani raga, Muruga Muruga in Nattaikurinji raga. Solla Vallayo Kiliyae in Raga Malika and Senthamizh Nadennum Podhinilae in Kavadi Chinthu Raga, among others.
The concert concluded with a rendition of Vazhiya Senthamizh in Madhyamavathi raga.
