Scaffolding at Sydney building site falls onto cars month after wall collapse

Scaffolding at a building site collapsed onto cars in Sydney's inner-city on Saturday night.

No-one was injured in the incident, which happened at the same location where a wall collapsed in August.

SafeWork NSW is investigating the incident and the managers of the development have been contacted for comment.

SafeWork NSW said no-one was injured when a large section of scaffolding fell onto vehicles on Wattle Street in the inner-city suburb of Ultimo on Saturday just before 6:45pm.

CCTV footage shows the scaffolding giving way due to strong winds and narrowly missing drivers on the street.

The regulator said inspectors attended the site, and that it had issued regulatory notices, including a prohibition notice to the site managers.
