Why it matters
Ensuring land rights and basic infrastructure for marginalized communities is a key aspect of social justice and administrative accountability.
Member of Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes Ravada Seetharam on Thursday directed revenue officials to resolve the land- related issues of Dalit communities in a time bound manner. He received petitions from Dalit residents and later held a review meeting with tehsildars (mandal revenue officials) to review the status of previous grievances.
