NEW DELHI: The Delhi government on Monday said it was working with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to make periodic structural audits and safety certifications mandatory for buildings used for public activities. Structures include paying guest (PG) accommodations, nursing homes and schools, following the collapse of a building in Satya Niketan that killed six people.Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta announced the proposed policy during her visit to the Satya Niketan site, where rescue and debris-clearing operations continued.
