Satish Jarkiholi will cooperate with ED probe, says younger brother

Lakhan Jarkiholi has stated that his brother, Minister Satish Jarkiholi, will cooperate fully with the Enforcement Directorate regarding an ongoing investigation into his business activities. Local Congress leaders have dismissed the raid as a politically motivated move by the BJP-led Union Government.
Why it matters
The incident highlights ongoing political tensions and the use of federal investigative agencies in Indian state-level politics.
Satish Jarkiholi will cooperate with Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers if they take up an investigation into his business activities, Lakhan Jarkiholi, Independent MLC and younger brother of the Minister, said in Gokak on Wednesday.
“I came to know about the ED raid on Satish Jarkiholi’s house through media reports. I have no idea why it was conducted. It is true that he has been active in politics and business. But I have no information about his business dealings. My businesses are different from his. However, I am sure that he will provide all the details to ED officers. He will answer all the questions they may ask,” he told reporters.
Meanwhile, Belagavi District Congress Committee president Vinay Navalagatti criticised the raid.
