Satellite medical centre inaugurated in Gobichettipalayam

VGM Hospital has opened its first satellite medical centre in Gobichettipalayam to improve healthcare access for rural residents. The facility will provide specialized consultations and coordinate with the main hospital in Coimbatore for complex cases.

The VGM Hospital, Coimbatore, inaugurated its first satellite medical centre, the Kovai VGM Multispecialty Center, in Gobichettipalayam on Sunday (August 23, 2026), with the aim of providing specialised healthcare closer to people in the region.
A release said Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan inaugurated the centre and delivered the special address. K. Shanmugasundaram, past District Governor, Rotary District 3203, was the special guest. The centre will cater to residents of Gobichettipalayam, Bhavani, Anthiyur, Sathyamangalam and surrounding areas.
