Sarah Ferguson was thought to be living abroad after she was forced to move out of Royal Lodge in Windsor, which she shared with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, in October.
Ferguson was last seen in public at the Duchess of Kent's funeral the previous month .
She is reportedly renting a gated property in the Home Counties, according to the Sun newspaper.
Mountbatten-Windsor and Ferguson relinquished their royal titles following increased scrutiny and revelations surrounding their links to disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein .
Ferguson is expected to move into the six-bedroom home "imminently", which could be as soon as next week, the Sun reported .
