Sankar Foundation performed 2,018 eye surgeries in 4 months
Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital in Srikakulam reported performing over 2,000 surgeries between April and July 2026, with 90% provided free of charge to underserved populations. The hospital plans to expand its reach through hundreds of upcoming medical camps and the integration of new diagnostic technology.

Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital of Srikakulam district has conducted 2,018 surgeries and extended its medical support to 9,638 patients between April and July months of 2026, Managing Trustee and CEO of the hospital group A. Krishna Kumar and Deputy General Manager (Public Relations and Liaison and Corporate Affairs) K. Bangar Raju stated in a release.
According to them, the hospital ensured operations without any charges for nearly 90% of the patients of remote areas of Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts.
Mr. Kumar said that the hospital will hold around 250 medical camps in remote areas of Palakonda, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Amadalavalasa, Burja, Tekkali and other places in August, September and October months.
