MANILA, Philippines - The Sandiganbayan Third Division on Thursday issued a commitment order to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), turning over the custody of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez to them from the police.

Associate Justice Karl Miranda, Third Division chairperson, made the order during the hearing tackling his Urgent Motion ad Cautelam for Continued Hospital Confinement in the Cardinal Santos Medical Center.

While the commitment order was addressed to the BJMP warden, Romualdez could not yet be transferred to the New Quezon City Jail in Barangay Payatas due to this pending court motion.
