Samsung Wallet users in India can now make UPI payments with fingerprint authentication: Here's how it works
Samsung has introduced on-device biometric authentication for UPI payments through Samsung Wallet in India. With the new feature, users can authenticate eligible UPI transactions using the fingerprint sensor on their Galaxy device instead of entering their UPI PIN. The feature applies to payments of up to Rs 10,000, according to Samsung.The company says the biometric authentication is processed on the device, allowing users to avoid entering their UPI PIN in public. It is also designed to reduce transaction failures caused by incorrectly entered PINs.
