Why it matters
This highlights consumer hardware trends and the increasing affordability of high-capacity solid-state storage for legacy system maintenance.

A PC can read from it at up to 560 MB/s and write to it at up to 530 MB/s, as fast as the SATA interface allows. The drive comes with a five-year limited warranty.
Head over to Amazon to get the Samsung SSD 870 EVO SATA III 2.5″ 2TB for just $400, down from its usual price of $1,040 . That’s a discount of $640 and 62% off.
