Samsung is working on a smartwatch that doesn't run Wear OS
Samsung is developing a new smartwatch, codenamed Galaxy Aero, which will run on a real-time operating system (RTOS) rather than Wear OS. The device is expected to be positioned between the budget-friendly Galaxy Fit 4 and the Galaxy Watch FE.

This indicates Samsung's strategy to diversify its wearable portfolio by offering low-power, long-battery-life alternatives to its flagship Android-based smartwatches.
We recently reported that the Galaxy Fit 4 could launch soon with upgraded wireless connectivity. Now, we have discovered that Samsung is working on a new smartwatch that could be priced above the Galaxy Fit 4 but below the Galaxy Watch FE. It also appears that the device will not run Wear OS.
