Samastha madrasa count rises to 11,134
The Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidyabhyasa Board has recognized eight new madrasas, bringing the total number of affiliated institutions to 11,134. The board also announced plans to introduce play schools within their English-medium ASMI campuses starting next academic year.

The Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidyabhyasa Board (SKIMVB) has granted recognition to eight more madrasas, taking the total number of Samastha-affiliated madrasas to 11,134.
The newly recognised madrasas are in Bengaluru, Kasaragod, Malappuram, Palakkad, Dindigul, and Tirunelveli.
The board also approved the launch of play schools from the next academic year on select campuses under ASMI (Association of Samastha Minority Institution) schools. ASMI schools are English medium campuses functioning under SKIMVB.
