Salem Railway Division organises mass shramdaan

The Salem Railway Division organised a mass shramdaan across the division on Thursday (October 1).
In a release, the division said that the Swachh Bharat Mission or Clean India Mission is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014.
As a part of the continual efforts to improve the standards of cleanliness, the division is observing the Swachhata Hi Seva (Cleanliness is Service) campaign from September 17 to October 2.
During these days, special drives and campaigns are being conducted to drive home the importance of cleanliness. Efforts are being taken to further improve the standards of cleanliness in trains, railway stations, railway offices, and railway premises.
On Thursday, a mass shramdaan towards cleanliness was held simultaneously across the division.
