The Salem Corporation on Friday (September 18) disconnected 10 drinking water connections in the Sooramangalam zone for nonpayment of water charges. In a release, Corporation Commissioner Lalitaditya Neelam said that Salem Corporation was identifying domestic and commercial water connections that had not paid water charges for a long time. Moreover, some people were illegally drawing water by using electric pumps, which was causing difficulties in providing water to people in other areas.
