Sainik School plants 1,000 saplings under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative
Sainik School Amaravathinagar planted 1,000 saplings as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' national initiative. The school plans to plant a total of 4,000 trees by October, with students taking responsibility for the long-term care of the plants.

Sainik School Amaravathinagar conducted a two-day tree plantation drive on August 24 and 25 as part of the national initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, planting 1,000 saplings on its campus.
The plantation on August 24 was supported by Union Bank of India as part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, while the programme on August 25 was conducted with the support of the NGO Vanathukkul Thiruppur.
The school has set a target of planting 4,000 saplings by October in phases. Cadets were encouraged to take responsibility for the saplings they planted and ensure their regular watering and protection.
