SailGP Valencia: Black Foils finish 11th as United States win in Spain

After a rough start to SailGP’s debut regatta in Valencia, New Zealand’s Black Foils needed something special to have a chance of qualifying for the podium race on day two.
But with light winds causing a delay to racing and a shortened schedule, the Black Foils ultimately went into the second day of the event with no chance of progressing into the final.
The lack of breeze saw racing delayed by 25 minutes, which meant the two groups only sailed one race each rather than the scheduled two.
