Sahaya 3.0: GBA to develop upgraded portal for civic grievances

The Greater Bengaluru Authority is developing 'Sahaya 3.0', an upgraded civic grievance portal designed to improve transparency and ease of use. The new system will feature voice-based registration, multilingual support, and mechanisms to reopen unresolved complaints.
Why it matters
This initiative aims to modernize urban governance and improve accountability between municipal agencies and citizens in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda announced that an upgraded civic grievance redressal platform – Sahaya 3.0 – would be built by the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to help citizens track a complaint until it is resolved. The new system would be developed on the existing Sahaya 2.0 platform but will focus more on making complaint registration easier and the resolution process more transparent.
He was speaking at a consultation with citizens and experts on Sahaya 3.0 and the Road Infrastructure Management System (RIMS) at the GBA head office.
Sahaya 2.0 currently functions as a unified grievance-redressal system through which citizens can register and track civic complaints, along with photographs and videos. It has integrated grievance modules of multiple agencies, including BESCOM, BWSSB, BMTC, BMRCL, and BDA.
