Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has said the construction of a 95km road network in Tsafe Local Government Area will improve security operations, facilitate the movement of goods and boost economic activities in the area.

The governor stated this on Sunday while flagging off the construction of roads linking 'Yandoton Daji, Cediya, Doka, 'Yan Waren Daji, Hayin Alhaji Bedi, Unguwar Joji and 'Yankuzo to Tsafe, as well as five bridges.

The project, which is being executed in two phases, covers 47km in the first phase and 48km in the second phase.

SKY Construction Company was awarded the first phase, while Setraco Construction Company Limited is handling the second phase.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lawal said the project was particularly important because it would connect communities that are predominantly agricultural and contribute significantly to the state's economy.
