Ryanair has warned that a planned €50m investment at Shannon Airport, along with 300 jobs, could be moved to Poland if the project does not receive planning permission.
The airline wants to build a new four-bay aircraft maintenance hangar and Engineering Academy at Shannon in Co Clare.
The project would expand Ryanair's existing maintenance operation at the airport, which currently employs more than 200 mechanics and engineering staff.
However, the planning application has been put on hold by Clare County Council over concerns about a proposed berm for storing contaminated soil on the site.
