Ryanair announces 400 new jobs as part of Shannon expansion
Ryanair is investing 50 million euros to expand its operations at Shannon Airport, including a new aircraft maintenance hangar and an engineering academy. The project is expected to create 400 high-skilled jobs and provide training for hundreds of aircraft mechanics by 2031.

Ryanair has announced that there will be 400 high-skill jobs created as part of the expansion of Shannon Airport.
This 50 million investment will include a new four-bay aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hangar at Shannon Airport.
The new Ryanair Engineering Academy, which will see the creation of 80 new apprenticeship roles and support the training of over 400 additional aircraft mechanics between 2027 and 2031.
Subject to planning approval, Ryanair expects construction to commence in early 2027, with the new facility expected to enter operation in late 2028.
