Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero in play for Manny Pacquiao as Floyd Mayweather rematch moves to 2027

<p>The long-awaited sequel to Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has a new target date.</p><p>The CEO of Pacquiao's MP Promotions, Jas Mathur, has revealed that the Filipino boxing icon is now looking at an early 2027 timeframe for his blockbuster rematch against Mayweather.</p><p>"Obviously, right now there's some technicalities that are unrelated to Manny and unrelated to us that are being resolved," Mathur said during a press event on Monday afternoon. "Once that's all said and done, then we anticipate that this should take place sometime in early 2027, January is the plan."</p><p>The rematch of boxing's richest fight was originally slated for September, but was postponed following a disagreement between the two camps.
