Ryan Fox shares sixth as J.J. Spaun wins BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth
American golfer J.J. Spaun secured a victory at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth after a late-round collapse by Manuel Elvira. The win marks a significant career milestone for Spaun, who expressed frustration at being excluded from the US Presidents Cup team.

J.J. Spaun became only the third American to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth after the major winner claimed a dramatic victory in a star-studded field.
Spaun birdied four of the final five holes and shared the lead. He then watched as Spain’s Manual Elvira threw away a shot at victory on the last hole.
Elvira had an eagle at the penultimate hole to share the lead on the 18th tee. However, he decided to lay up of the par five last leading to a double bogey and handing the two-shot victory title to Spaun.
Elvira finished in a share of second at 15-under with Rory McIlroy, Aaron Rai and Adam Scott.
