KIGALI — BK Arena has published a dress code requiring guests to keep intimate areas adequately covered, days after women were reportedly denied entry to a concert for wearing outfits considered too revealing.
The Kigali venue said personal style and self-expression remained welcome, but visitors must dress appropriately for a shared public space.
“Intimate areas must remain adequately covered,” the guidelines said.
“Transparent or see-through garments must provide adequate coverage of intimate areas.”
Clothing displaying obscene, hateful, discriminatory or threatening words, images or symbols will also not be permitted.
The dress code forms part of a broader set of house rules covering entry, alcohol consumption, safety and conduct at events.
The venue said the guidelines were intended to provide “a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.”
