President William Ruto has set a December 2026 deadline for the completion of the Endebess Sub-County Mother and Child Hospital in Trans Nzoia, with the facility expected to expand access to specialised healthcare for mothers and newborns.
The hospital is 88 per cent complete, with the government releasing an additional Sh140 million to ensure the project is finished by the end of the year.
Ruto announced the timeline during his tour of Trans Nzoia County on Saturday, October 10, when he inspected the ongoing construction.
“Impressed by the progress of the Endebess Sub-County Hospital Mother and Child Complex, which is 88 per cent complete and scheduled for completion at the end of the year,” Ruto said.
