Ruto braves another downpour to address Bomet residents

President William Ruto address Kapkoros residents in Bomet Central amid heavy rains on September 11, 2026/PCS President William Ruto was on Friday forced to brave heavy rains for the second time during his tour of Bomet, addressing hundreds of residents who had gathered along the highway despite the downpour.
Ruto had just landed at Kapkoros Centre in Bomet Central from Boito in neighbouring Konoin, where he launched construction of the 91km Kapkatet-Boito-Kapset-Kaptien-Kapleleito-Kiptenden-Kapkoros-Kiplelji-Kapsimotwa-Kapkwen-Olbutyo-Siongiroi road.
He was in Kapkoros to commission the newly completed Kapkoros Sub-County Hospital when heavy rains started pounding the area.
Ruto was forced to use an umbrella as he walked to the new facility.
