Rumour Mongering: Liverpool Eye Brentford’s Dykes for Sporting Director Role

When Richard Hughes officially departed the club at the close of the summer transfer window, most assumed Liverpool would be quick to appoint his successor and many expected assistant sporting director David Woodfine would be promoted into the top job.

Two weeks on and with no successor yet named it seems as though the job may not in fact be Woodfine's, or at least if he does end up getting it the Reds want to further consider their options first, and the latest has them eyeing up Brentford technical director Lee Dykes for the role.
