Rugby fans descend on Wakefield for celebratory bus parade

Wakefield Trinity rugby league fans held a celebratory bus parade through the city following the team's first Super League title win since 1968. The team secured the championship after defeating the Warrington Wolves at Old Trafford.

Trinity beat Warrington Wolves 23-10 in Saturday's Grand Final at Old Trafford - their first title win since 1968, long before Super League was established.
To celebrate the victory, two buses, carrying players and staff, travelled from the club's ground at Belle Vue to Wakefield Town Hall for a civic reception.
Fullback Max Jowitt, who has made 188 appearances for Trinity and scored three goals in the final, said the parade had been an "unbelievable" experience.
"The fans have been unbelievable, the city is unbelievable and the trophy's unbelievable," he said.
