The incident involves Oderço, a Brazilian IT and electronics distributor that has been operating for 38 years. According to the company , two pallets containing Zotac RTX 5090 graphics cards went missing after arriving at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo, Brazil. The shipment was reportedly worth around 2.5 million Brazilian reais, or roughly $490,000, based on what the distributor paid for the hardware.
However, that figure only represents the estimated wholesale value of the shipment. The GPUs could be worth significantly more once retail pricing is taken into account, especially considering how expensive RTX 5090 models have become.
