RTX 5080 User Claims His GPU Fried After Using DLSS 5 In GTA 5; Unofficial Software Injection Would Have Voided Warranty, But He’s Lucky To Receive A Replacement

NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 is yet to witness an official release, but that hasn’t stopped experimental software from being downloaded and tested on a plethora of games. Unfortunately, it’s always risky tampering with unofficial releases, as one RTX 5080 owner found out the hard way when he ran GTA 5 using DLSS 5. Sure, the game receives a major visual uplift, but his GPU is shown to be fried because of this. Luckily, he received a replacement graphics card, and from the looks of it, the user learned his lesson.
