The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has condemned t he controversial remarks made by Hindutva ideologue T.G. Mohandas against the student protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi that culminated in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel on July 26, Mr. Mohandas had threatened that he “would have shot” the protestors at Jantar Mantar if he were in control. A former head of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s State intellectual cell, he had said in another video that secular women who take part in protests “enjoy being gangraped.”
