RRS seeks action on long-standing issues of Rayalaseema

The Rayalaseema Rashtra Samithi has urged the Central and State governments to address the long-standing issues like backwardness, drought, unemployment, and farmers’ suicides concerning the region.
The samithi’s plenary was held under the leadership of its national president Kuncham Venkatasubba Reddy at the NGO’s Home in Anantapur on Saturday. Addressing a public meeting later, he said despite numerous changes in Central and State governments, the lives of the people of Rayalaseema remain unchanged.
“A State must be treated equitably across all regions and development should not be limited to just one preferred area,” he said, and alleged that funds, industries, central offices, and bank headquarters that rightfully belong to Rayalaseema were being diverted to coastal Andhra.
