RPF celebrates Raising Day with community service

Officers of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Vijayawada division, of the South Coast Railway (SCoR) celebrated RPF Raising Day on Sunday (September 20, 2026). Many service programmes were organised to mark the occasion.
RPF Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Shanmuga Vadivel said the force recovered booty worth about ₹80 lakh in 104 cases, and arrested 87 offenders. Besides, 438 kgs of narcotic substances, valued ₹2.19 crore has been seized, he added.
“The RPF organised blood donation camp at Samalkot, visited orphanage homes and distributed fruits, clothes, and food to the inmates in Nellore and planted saplings in Vijayawada,” Mr. Shanmuga Vadivel said.
