Manchester United legend Roy Keane has delivered a blistering assessment of Manchester City’s financial misconduct, suggesting the club’s players should discard their trophies. His comments follow a landmark verdict where the Premier League officially found the Etihad giants guilty of systemic rule-breaking to inflate their revenue.
The Premier League has officially condemned Manchester City for manipulating their financial accounts . An independent panel, which concluded its hearing in December 2024, found the club guilty of 114 out of 115 charges relating to a nine-season period. During this era of alleged misconduct, City secured eight major trophies.
According to Premier League statement, the Etihad outfit utilised "sham" agreements with commercial partners to artificially boost revenue and lower operating costs. These deals falsely altered the club's financial standing by an estimated £900 million.
