Rowdy-sheeter arrested for demanding ₹20,000 from man at knife point in Hyderabad

The Attapur police arrested a 25-year-old rowdy-sheeter for trespassing into a house, holding a knife to a man’s throat and demanding ₹20,000 in Hasan Nagar area of Hyderabad.
The accused was identified as Syed Mohammed alias Chango, a centring labourer and auto driver, and a resident of NTR Nagar. Police said the accused has a rowdy-sheet against him at Attapur police station and was previously involved in several property, bodily and NDPS-related cases.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on September 4 when Mohammed entered the house of Noor Jahan Begum and held a knife to the throat of her son, Abdul Rehman. He demanded ₹20,000 and threatened to kill Rehman if the money was not paid. When Noor Jahan attempted to intervene, he threatened her with knife while continuing to demand the money.
