The Rotary Club of Kilpauk presented awards to recognise outstanding achievers in three categories. Justice P.N. Prakash, former Madras High Court judge, presented the Vocational Excellence Award to eminent cardiologist Dr. G. Sengottuvelu, the Sake of Honour Award to Chinny Krishna, founder of Blue Cross, and the Young Achiever Award to teen sailor Shreya Krishna. Rotary Club secretary P.C.R. Suresh said that more than 18 persons had been recognised for various achievements in the last 10 years. Club president Karthik Surendran highlighted key projects for hearing impaired children and free dialysis centres in Saidapet and Anna Nagar.
