Take-Two, Rockstar's parent company and publisher of Grand Theft Auto VI, previously responded to the detailed leaks from Cyberleek by issuing subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord in order to identify and track down the anonymous leaker, although that doesn't seem to have helped, since the Cyberleek leaks have continued unabated. Following the legal route, Rockstar Games has publicly addressed the leaks in a recent post on X , stating that the leaks are "heartbreaking" to the team, and apologizing for the game's extended development time frame.
